Meet our Staff

Donalyn  Preuter

I am excited to be a teacher at Red Deer Montessori for my second year. In the past year I have taken the Level 1 Montessori course for 3-5 year olds and I have completed the Level 2 course for 5-6 year olds.

In April of 2010 I attended the wonderful Montessori conference that we held in Red Deer with Tim Seldon as our keynote speaker. Just recently I participated in the sexual abuse preventative training put on by Darkness to Light, Stewards of Children, Little Warriors.

Previously I cared for children for over 20 years as a Day Home Provider. During that time I received my Child Care Assistant Certificate which I achieved through Red Deer College. I also volunteered and worked as an Educational Assistant in the Catholic School Board for two years.

I believe children are a heritage and a blessing to us as adults. As a mother of four children and now a grandma (Oma), I am so thankful to have a position where I can help children reach their full potential through this wonderful program called Montessori.

Fred Preuter

Hi, my name is Mr. Fred and I am passionate about the philosophy of Montessori Education and working with children. I took my first Montessori teacher training for preschool children ages 3-5 in the summer of 2010. I have received my Level 1 – Child Development Assistant Certificate as well as the Darkness to Light, Stewards of Children, Little Warriors Sexual Abuse Prevention Training. I have met all the safety requirements that this job requires such as my First Aid, a criminal record check and a vulnerability search.

I plan to continue with my professional development on the job and through correspondence, on campus classes as well as participating in conferences. I enjoy using my musical abilities such as singing, playing guitar and other instruments in the classroom. I’ve recently graduated from the North American Montessori Centre and have received my Diploma as a Certified International Montessori Teacher.
